NEW FOR 2016! Norte Bike Valet Parking
Norte! is excited to provide Bike Valet Parking to our amazing TCFF in 2016. This festival long valet will allow film goers who arrive by bike to park like movie stars. For free.
No need to deal with traffic or stress out about where to park the car. Our centrally located, TART Trail-adjacent Bike Valet at the Bijou is convenient, easy, fast, and secure. Perfect not only for Bijou filmgoers but also a lovely “Bike & Stroll” experience for those going to the State, City Opera House, or Open Space. It’s no more than a 5 minute walk from the bike valet to all of these TCFF venues! Learn more about the Norte! bike valet here.
Dates/Times: Wednesday, July 27 – Sunday, July 31. Opens daily at 8 am. Closes at 11 pm.
Location: At the Bijou.
How It Works:
1. Ride your bike down to The Bijou.
2. Give us your bike and we’ll give you one of our snazzy Pokemon turned valet stub. Put the Pokemon in your pocket. Don’t lose it.
3. Walk to your film venue. We’ll watch your bike. So have fun. Don’t worry.
4. Return to the valet. Give us your Pokemon. Get your bike back. Pedal on to your next adventure and give yourself a pat on the back for going by bike and making the TCFF a little bit more awesome.
Coffee lover? By using the bike valet you get a coupon worth $2 off a specialty drink or a free cold brew at Higher Grounds! While your there, enjoy the official coffee of the TCFF filmmakers—”Coast.” Coast is a summer coffee blend back for the second summer and all purchases of Coast benefit Norte! and their “Bike Más” project. Follow along on social media with #bikeTCFF and #bikeandstroll.
TCFF encourages you to Smart Commute straight to your movie seat! Vehicle parking at the Smart Lots is free! Donated bike racks are available at all film festival venues. Thanks for choosing to Smart Commute!
Park and Ride the Festival Loop
The festival offers a free shuttle to all of our venues Wednesday-Sunday from 7 am until the last filmgoers and volunteers are returned to their cars. Please park on the east side of town at the NMC Cherry Lot, near Milliken Auditorium, or the west side of town in the Thirlby Field Lot, where buses will stop every 10 to 15 minutes to pick you up and take you around the Festival Loop. Parking at the east side or west side lots are easy! From there, you can take the Free Festival Loop Shuttle while you park all day and night without worry or cost. The Loop stops at each movie theater, the free festival parking lots and the Larry C. Hardy Parking Deck and Old Town Parking Deck downtown. It’s free, green and easy!
For movies at Lars Hockstad Auditorium, please help us be good neighbors, exit quietly after nighttime shows, and do not park in the neighborhood. If you cannot use the Festival Loop or the accessible parking in the Lars Hockstad parking lot, please park in the City lots along Union Street, or in business lots after hours.
For more information on the festival shuttle, check out the detailed map.
WHERE TO PARK: Park for FREE on the east side in NMC’s Cherry Lot near Milliken Auditorium or on the west side in the Thirlby Field lot off 14th & Pine—park all day and night without cost, and ride the Free Festival Loop shuttle around the festival. Downtown’s two parking decks are also on the Festival Loop.
FREE FESTIVAL LOOP: Buses stop every 10-15 minutes to pick you up and take you around the Festival Loop to all of our venues. Shuttles run Wednesday through Sunday from 7 am until the last filmgoers and volunteers are back to their vehicles. All buses are wheelchair accessible.
LARS HOCKSTAD PARKING: For movies at Lars Hockstad, please help us respect the neighborhood: exit quietly after nighttime shows and park in the Old Town Deck.
Get your copies of the Filmgoer with the Pocket Guide inside at TCFF venues or stop by the MyNorth offices at 125 Park Street, under the yellow awning. Or check out the Filmgoer online.
