• Stand By Lines: If a show is listed as sold out, a stand-by ticket line will form 30 minutes before each screening. Even if you hear that a show is sold out, our experience tells us there are always a few seats that open up. Sometimes over 30 people are seated.

• TCFF festivalgoers can exchange tickets using the unofficial but very handy Ticket Swap

Admission prices to all festival events this year will remain the same as last year:

• Seats to regular movies are $9.00.

• Opening and closing night movie screenings are $25.

• Opening and closing night parties are ticketed separately and are $50. Friends of the Traverse City Film Festival get half off opening and closing night party tickets, according to their benefit level. Tickets are available in advance and during the festival.

• This year the festival has a new party: the filmmakers party on Saturday night, downtown at Wade Trim on State and Park Streets. Tickets to this party are only $25. Food and drink and music and everything you could want in a great party, plus filmmakers galore and the chance to see Jeff Garlin judge the costumes from the 5K race and award prizes!

• Open Space movies are free. Also free are daily film industry panels held at 9:30 am in the City Opera House.

• New this year: In order to keep from raising our ticket prices, we are asking those who have the means to do so to purchase a special "Producer's Pass" which will give the bearer a guaranteed seat at and early access to all festival films and events. This special tax-deductible pass can be purchased for $2,500. On Sale Now

• Also new this year, for your convenience during festival week, credit cards will be accepted at ALL venues for box tickets, merchandise and concessions.

• The festival box office, cybercafe and store is once again be located on the main floor of Radio Centre on East Front Street at Park, sponsored by Art Van Furniture, offering a comfortable place to sit and review the schedule, watch film festival trailers, drink complimentary coffee, and check the internet and email at free computer stations. Festival merchandise will also be sold out of this storefront beginning on July 4.

• Friends who sign up for to become 2010 Friends of the Film Festival by 12 noon on closing day are eligible for a drawing for a TCFF Pass for Life and other prizes on closing night. And Friends who renew for 2010 before the end of August 2009 can join at the original Friend rates -- before the rates double on September 1, 2009.
