I beleive I've seen that there are awards and recognitions from state and federal agencies for community events that use "Green" practices. The Cherry Tree Inn & Suites Family is happy to see the festival making efforts to use "Green" products at this year's festival. We, too, have many "Green" practices, and we have applied and been awarded a Steward Partnership with Michigan Green Lodging. If I see something like this for the Film Festival, I will let you know.
