The Traverse City Film Festival (TCFF) and sustaining sponsor FIM Group have announced the winners of the 2012 TCFF Bumper Contest. The winners will be presented with their awards at the Filmmaker Party on Saturday, August 4.
Congratulations go to Lesley Alicia Tye, Colin Campbell, Ellyn Church and Anthony Penta for their bumper “2012 A TC Odyssey.” The team will receive a $1,000 prize for their winning entry.
Bud Solem and Karl Bastian took the second prize of $350 with “Diversity.”
The third prize winner of $150 was Caroline Schaefer-Hills with “Lake Michigan.”
Other entries include Todd Gillissie with “Inquisitive,” Mardi Link with “Two Kinds of TCFF Cool,” Jonathon Rudolph with “The Tour,” Marilyn Dresser with “50 Shades of Cool,” Tom Mair with “The Making Of…“, and Jake Wallach with “High Five.”
The contest challenge was to create bumpers that tackled the subject Why TC is Cool. The contest winners were selected by a group of judges from FIM Group and the film festival.
In addition to the cash prize, the winning film bumpers are being shown on the big screen before feature films during the festival. All three winners premiered at the Opening Night film.

I saw 10 films and most did not show a bumper, never saw the 3rd place winner. Really missed seeing them. .And the coloring book got really irritating.
